3.5.11. Adjustment of a tension of a gear belt

GENERAL INFORMATION

Control of a tension of a gear belt on the diesel engine

The deflection of a belt should make 4–5 mm.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the top protective casing of a gear belt and remove a casing. Turn a cranked shaft before installation of the piston of the first cylinder in the provision of the top dead point. As the cover of a head is removed, the provision of a cranked shaft is necessary for supervising on a belt pulley of a cranked shaft. The notch on a belt pulley of a cranked shaft should settle down opposite to a label of the top dead point on the bottom cover of the case of the gas-distributing mechanism. For a provorachivaniye of a cranked shaft put on a cap key the central bolt of a belt pulley of a cranked shaft.
2. Weaken on two turns bolts of fastening of the tension device of a belt.
3. Take away by means of a cap key a cranked shaft clockwise from the provision of the top dead point on two teeth of a gear pulley of a camshaft. The spring of the tension device starts to operate and establishes a belt in new situation.
4. Tighten fastening of the tension device. That thus the tension of a gear belt did not change, at first tighten a bolt in a cut, in then the bottom bolt. Both bolts tighten till an inhaling of 22-30 N of m.
5. For reliability once again check a tension of a gear belt. For this purpose press a finger a belt, as is shown in drawing. If thus the belt has a deflection of 4-5 mm, it is adjusted correctly and the removed details can be established.
