Mechanical transmission

The car can be towed on any speed of towage resolved by the law and without distance restriction if to include neutral transfer. At car towage, transfer the gear shifting lever to the provision of a neutral broadcast N and the lever of switching of a drive in neutral situation or in situation 2Н.

Automatic transmission

The car can be towed on the maximum distance in 30 km. Speed of towage should not exceed 30 km/h. At towage neutral transfer should be included. At car towage, transfer the lever of an automatic transmission to the provision of a neutral broadcast N and the lever of switching of a drive – in situation 2Н. If the transmission failed or if the car is necessary for towing on distance, further, than 30 km, are necessary to disconnect the back driveshaft or to tow the car so that back wheels did not concern the earth.

Prevention

On cars with system of blocking of back differential it is necessary to switch off this system at car towage.

At towage of the car turn a key in the ignition lock in situation ASS or ON in order that the steering column was not closed.

Include system of the alarm system.

At towage, drivers of cars should keep in touch and move with small speed. Avoid sharp braking and dispersal.

As at towage the engine does not work, the system of strengthening of brakes and system of strengthening of a steering, also, do not work. It means that for braking of the car and turn of a steering wheel it is necessary to apply big strengthenings, than usually.

At movement down on an abrupt slope of a brake can overheat that will lead to fall of their efficiency. In this case for towage of the car it is recommended to use services of experts.

When using a forward towing hook, adhere a rope very accurately in order that it did not damage a car body.

In the following cases it is necessary to address to special service for car towage:

– the engine works, but the car does not go, or moves with unusual strong noise;
– in an automatic transmission there is no liquid.

Car towage (without ignition keys)

At car towage without the ignition key it is necessary to be especially accurate as the steering column is closed. At towage it is necessary to switch the lever of switching of a drive in situation 2Н and to lift forward wheels. In order that at towage the car was not damaged, use of the special towing equipment is necessary.
